Jason Watkis, also known as DJ Paradise Musical-Genius
UK-based reggae and DnB producer DJ Paradise Musical-Genius, born Jason Watkis, has delivered an inspirational project called the Global World Peace album. It is a rhythm compilation which features legendary artists such as Queen Ifrica and Little Roy, who sang the hit song ‘Tribal War’ in 1974, as well as extraordinarily talented upcoming artists from around the world.
The album consists of 12 tracks with 8 tracks strategically released so far. DJ Paradise did this separately so each track can shine on its own. Two songs, Queen Ifrica’s ‘Everyone Wants Love’ and Little Roy’s ‘Fight For Jah Love’, were the first to be released on August 1, the day when Jamaica celebrates its Emancipation Day.
Then on the 9th of August, which is significantly known as International Day of the World's Indigenous People, DJ Paradise released ‘We Survive’ by the US-based Jah Tiff, Mitsy June’s ‘World Peace’, Sista Zeal’s ‘Peace In The World’, Gritty’s ‘How You Make Me Feel’ featuring Sir Nutz, Shayhil’s ‘Memories’ also featuring Sir Nutz and ‘Jamaica Warning’ by Jamaica’s very own Jah Clarity.
This authentic reggae album shows that we are all one human race and our resilience to the struggles in life is the same for every Jamaican and other ethnicities no matter where in the world we are. With this project, DJ Paradise hopes it will motivate listeners to bring about peace and change globally.
He said, “My aim is to unite the world through music and sound.”
