Music distribution company OneRPM has scored several top 10 hits on iTunes this week with the release of 3 albums recently. On Thursday, November 7th the Notnice Records produced Broken Child album by Nordia Mothersille was released, the Dutty Showtime Riddim compilation of various artists produced by Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock Productions in collaboration with Mad House Records, and Xyclone’s latest EP The Sounds of Gambia, both on Friday, the 8th.
Broken Child peaked at number 2 before settling at number 5, Dutty Showtime Riddim debuted at number 3 and settled at number 8, while Xyclone made the biggest jump debuting at number 22, moving up to number 5 before resting at number 2 overall the weekend. Xyclone also had all 6 songs chart on the iTunes Reggae Singles Chart and his lead single “Who Fah” added to several Apple Music playlists by OneRPM.
Sean Paul enlisted the talents of Chi Ching Ching, Farenizzi and Charly Black, the young sensation J’Calm and the greats like Buju Banton, Tarrus Riley, Ward 21 and Busy Signal. Notnice has been working with Nordia Mothersille on this, her first album project, hosting an album launch for her as well. Xyclone stays assiduously on his A-game as he recorded most of the tracks from his album in The Gambia on his recent trip to the African nation.
