International Recording Artist Brings Timeless Classics, New Music and Jamaican Energy to Major Cultural Celebration

OWINGS MILLS, MD (DMV) — Reggae and Dancehall favorite Mr. Easy is set to headline the highly anticipated Afro Cultural Festival 2026, taking place Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Town High School in Owings Mills, Maryland. Presented by Five Star Women of Color, Inc., the free family-friendly event celebrates African, Caribbean and African American culture under this year's theme, "America 250: A Diaspora that Shaped the Nation."

Known for his unmistakable voice, charismatic stage presence and a catalog packed classics, Mr. Easy is expected to deliver a crowd-pleasing set featuring signature recordings including "Drive Me Crazy," "Bashment Gal," "Rain Again," "Bashment Time," "Funny," and more. These enduring recordings helped define a generation of Reggae and Dancehall music and continue to reach new audiences through placements across television, film and digital media.

Festival-goers can also expect to hear selections from Mr. Easy's newest releases, including the infectious "Lockdown" ( (DJ Treasure, DJ Mak and Crash Dummy), featured on the buzzing WYFL Riddim, and the feel-good party anthem "Gal It's Ya Birthday" (Partymode Entertainment). Both tracks have garnered excitement among fans, while showcasing the esteemed entertainer's ability to remain current without sacrificing the authentic style that made him a recognized brand.

The artist also continues to enjoy renewed momentum through his inspirational favorite "Praise Him," which remains a staple among longtime supporters and new fans alike.

"I'm looking forward to bringing positive energy and great music to Baltimore," said Mr. Easy. "The Afro Cultural Festival represents culture, unity and celebration. Anytime I get the opportunity to connect with fans and share Jamaican music with people from all backgrounds, it's a blessing. We're bringing the vibes, the classics and some new music that the people have been loving."

Recent months have seen Mr. Easy performing for audiences throughout Central America and the Caribbean, including appearances in Costa Rica and The Bahamas, further demonstrating the enduring international appeal of his music and stage show.

As part of the promotional campaign surrounding "Lockdown," the esteemed entertainer recently delivered a standout mic-drop performance on the popular platform "Life Is A Movie," giving fans another visual connection to the circulating release. The performance was made possible by Verum Lumen Society and Gallery de Garde.

In addition to Mr. Easy's headline performance, the festival's impressive live entertainment lineup includes Image Band, Duafe, Mr. Big Energy, Cana Baye Fall, PITAR, and KXMS, offering a dynamic blend of Caribbean, African, Afrobeats and cultural performances throughout the day.

Festival attendees will also enjoy authentic African, Caribbean and African American cuisine, cultural demonstrations, artisan vendors, community organizations, family activities, giveaways and educational exhibits designed to celebrate the richness of the African Diaspora.

"The Afro Cultural Festival brings thousands of people together to celebrate culture, strengthen community connections, and create opportunities for local businesses, artists and organizations to thrive," said Shalewa Nyanza, Founder and Executive Director of Five Star Women of Color, Inc. "As we commemorate America 250, we are proud to highlight the countless contributions of African-descended people whose innovation, resilience and leadership helped shape this nation."

"Through music, food, art and education, we create a space where people of all backgrounds can connect, learn and celebrate our shared humanity," Nyanza adds.

Admission is free, and advance registration is encouraged. Registered attendees will be entered into the festival's special "25 for 250" Sponsored Giveaway, honoring 25 winners in recognition of America's 250th anniversary.
