[Kingston, Jamaica - May 2026] Dancehall recording artist Vershon has once again teamed up with US-based Jenelle Alexia of A’Legends Productions on his second single ‘A Mother Like You’ from his upcoming EP ‘To A Queen’. Officially released on Wednesday, May 6th, when Jamaica celebrates its teachers, is just in time for Mother’s Day being celebrated in the western world on Sunday, May 10th.
“It was a mere coincidence that I had set the release date on Teachers’ Day in Jamaica. This goes to show that when the universe aligns, all things work together for the good,” Jenelle Alexia stated.
As a mother herself, Jenelle Alexia appreciates what ‘A Mother Like You’ signifies to not only women who bore children but those who are important mother-figures in today’s society.
“This song is about honoring mothers, teachers and women in general who nurture, teach and lead with strength. I decided it was needed at this time to inspire all mothers and all women to push on through the struggles and to let them know how loved they are and appreciated for all they do. This is the second single from our upcoming EP ‘To A Queen’,” Jenelle Alexia said.
The official music video will be released this Sunday on Mother’s Day. ‘A Mother Like You’ can be played everyday for every female who is tasked with taking care of her children, putting their needs before hers and guiding them through society, all the while persevering through the many adversities thrown her way.
