Reggae artist Jah Tiff
US-based reggae artist Tiffany Gelly, more popularly known as Jah Tiff, joins forces with UK powerhouse DJ Paradise Musical-Genius on a new track called ‘We Survive’. The song is from the rhythm compilation album Global World Peace, which also features the legendary Queen Ifrica, Little Roy and Jah Clarity.
Released on August 1, Jamaica’s Emancipation Day, ‘We Survive’ is a testament to our nation’s resilience and our people’s will to survive. Jah Tiff sings every word from the heart, connecting with her listeners emotionally and psychologically.
DJ Paradise reached out to Jah Tiff via Instagram after hearing her track ‘Great’. He was so impressed by her talent that he asked to remix it on this very Global World Peace beat. However, Jah Tiff found a different inspiration and instead, wrote ‘We Survive’ for the project, which DJ Paradise also loved.
The inspiration behind Jah Tiff’s lyrics are from everyday life experiences.
Jah Tiff explained, “Life is hard for a lot of people and many feel alone in their struggles, so I wanted to remind them that prayer works and can give them the strength to keep fighting and surviving.”
“I want to remind everyone that we’re powerful beings with the capability of creating and changing our own destiny by changing our whole outlook on life and our mindset,” Jah Tiff continued.
The motivation to send this message out to the masses coincides perfectly with DJ Paradise’s intentions behind the Global World Peace project.
“I feel like this project is divine intervention. DJ Paradise has a vision to spread peace and love through music which resonated with me. I believe that love is the essence of life and I’d like to be a part of the village that is promoting love in the world and ties into our national motto: 'Out of many, one people'.”
