Miami's Ark of the City Foundation Celebrates 15 Years of "Xmas on 15th"!

MPR CONSULTING - Santa is getting a helping hand in Miami Dade County this Christmas from Ark Of The City annual's "Xmas on 15th" Ave Parade & Toy Giveaway !

The annual non-profit organization celebrates 15 years of their all-day event where local representatives, members of the community, and volunteers from across Miami will come together to bring Christmas cheers to families with the  "Xmas on 15th" coveted parade, food and fun, wall of fame ceremony, celebrity guest appearance, high school marching band, ride and games for kids, farmshare distribution and the biggest toy giveaway of the season!

Amid their many ventures and altruistic causes, the yearly Christmas on 15th Avenue Event is the only Charity that showcases the city's best food, cherished icons and community causes with the involvement of local celebrities and special guests. In a previous release to the media, Mrs. Sherria Elliott stated, "Christmas on 15th which began in 2007 is the brainchild of myself and my husband Terry Elliott, Sr. along with Von Carol Kinchens and started out of the need to give a joyful Christmas to children of impoverished neighborhoods."

Although the past few years has changed the landscape and roll out of events due to pandemic restrictions,  Ark Of The City "Christmas on 15th"  have adapted their format to ensure that they follow all health recommendations during this fun family event.

Adding more excitement for all ages, this year will host the exciting Battle of the Bands, where the winning drum line will receive $1000, trophy and title belt (title belt will beheld for one year, winning band will compete the following year to defend their belt and continue to hold the winning title).

Every December, people begin decorating their cars for the holidays. It starts with some antlers and a red nose, or maybe a big red bow. Then it escalates covering your car with lights and tinsel, even a music-timed light show, and in keeping with that festive spirit, there will be a "Show off your vehicle" best dressed vehicle, with a cash prize $1500 (see flyer for more info, or visit www.arkofthecity.com

"A sense of community was created 15 years ago by Ark of the City Foundation when the first "Xmas on 15th" trotted down the street to put a smile on the faces of children, and the community at large. The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for those around us.” - Mrs. Sherria Elliott
