«Okay» is the second of a series of collaborations
which will be releasing over the next few months by Swiss Beatmaker / Composer
Riga (who has collaborated amongst others with Stonebwoy (Ghana), Vybz
Kartel, Masicka, Jahmiel (Jamaica), Major Lazer (USA), Jugglerz, Massiv
(Germany), Admiral T, Daddy Mory (France), Stress, Slimka (Switzerland) and
many more.
Over the past 15 years, Riga was also managing artists and
booking shows: his work led him to travel the world with the artists he was
collaborating with. (from Los Angeles to London, passing through New York, Las
Vegas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Ghana and all over Europe). This allowed him to
build an impressive independent network with local and international actors of
the music industry.
The pandemic forced him to go back and put his focus in the
studio, which led to creating several collaborative tracks with a bunch of
artists from all over Switzerland and abroad: for the first single “Pression”,
he reunited 3 other heavyweights of the Swiss music scene: Slimka, Cali P, and
Mykel Costa.
For this second single “Okay”, he linked up one of the top
artists from Switzerland: Pronto for a collaboration with afrobeats
sensation Kelvyn Boy from Ghana.
Pronto is a Multiplatinum selling artist signed by Universal
Music Switzerland, who has been making waves on the European music scene over
the past few years, and collaborating with some of the top acts around.
Kelvyn Boy is currently one of the hottest acts in
Ghana, his latest release “My Head” went viral and charted at No1 on Apple
Music Ghana as well as racking up over 6,5 million views on Youtube and over
200’000 videos and 20 million views on TikTok. In September, an official remix
featuring Stefflon Don & Tekno was released which can be found on most
current editorial afrobeats playlists (Spotify, Apple Music).
On “Okay” both Pronto and Kelvyn Boy deliver infectious melodies over a dancehall influenced beat accompanied by a heavy bass, which is counter-balanced with sweet guitar melodies – Make sure you add this fresh hit to your current playlist!
