Mzs Quanny & Legend Sean Paul Tops iTunes Reggae Charts

[Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - March, 2021] Grammy award winning Dancehall artiste Sean Paul peaks at #2 on the iTunes Reggae pre-order charts since it became available for pre-order on February 28, 2021. The 16-track album has 12 collaborations and will be released officially on March 12, 2021. However, the “Live N Livin” album only made its way to #2 after newcomer’s Mzs Quanny’s debut album was released on March 6, 2021.

The Philadelphia native is already making an impact on the Dancehall scene with Don’t Mean To Brag, peaking at #5 on the iTunes Reggae charts on its first day of release and #7 on the Amazon Reggae charts at the writing of this article. To even be up against the likes of a legend such as Sean Paul is an honour already within itself.

It was #2 above Sean Paul who wasn’t even in the top 10 yet at the time,” she said. “Then he moved up to #3 right behind me on the day before my official release, like, who would’ve thought?! It’s unbelievable still how I could ever surpass the great Sean Paul with my first album. It’s my debut album. I mean, come on! I really ‘Don’t Mean To Brag’ but I guess I can live up to my album title then, huh?”

The 27-year-old, who celebrates her 28th birthday on March 13, 2021, has hopes of staying in the top 5 on all charts by then. Sean Paul says that while another Grammy nod would be the icing on the cake, his main goal is really to put out the best cake.

Sean Paul is a sure #1 when he releases the day before my birthday but it would still be an awesome birthday gift if I’m right up there with him,” Mzs Quanny added coyly.

Don’t Mean To Brag features 10 songs plus a bonus track titled “Time Is Now”, produced by Jamaican Reggae extraordinaire Clive Hunt. Billboard charting artiste, Xyclone, is the only featured artiste on the remix of her 2018 hit, “Bruk It Off”. “Ride It” from the Ride Me Riddim compilation, which was written by her manager, Lesley Hayles, also made its way onto the album. She also credits Kollege Rok Records, Epik Jones, Damion Dainja and the late Andrew ‘Yardie’ Evans, among many others for their contributions to her album. Mzs Quanny is the executive producer of “Don’t Mean To Brag” and was released under her Mzs Quanny Music label.

Mzs Quanny is preparing for appearances in Florida towards the end of March, with the hopes of additional dates in April. While visuals have already been out for “Bruk It Off (Remix)” and “Time Is Now”, she also has plans for a unique experience with the other tracks from Don’t Mean To Brag.

In the media, Mzs Quanny has been featured in the Jamaica Star, Jamaica Observer, McKoys News, Bashment Session Magazine and Trinidad-based CMIX Magazine, among others worldwide. Keep up with all things Mzs Quanny by following her on social media here: https://linktr.ee/MzsQuvnny
