USA, Jamaica (MPR Consulting) - As the world honors and
celebrates Women's History Month, Grammy-Award recording artist Gramps Morgan
soothes the soul with the re-release of his multi-award winning single "Wash The Tears Acoustic",
and praises women with his upcoming next single "A Woman Like You".
The testament of a classic can be measured through the test of time, lyrics as
relevant today as when they were first penned, and that will echo for
generations to come, the latter speaks of both.
It has been 11 years since Gramps belted the moving words "Jah shall wash away All the tears from my
eyes, In times when the storms, And the tides are raging
high, We know we shall win, And we know we'll survive..".
For him this song was a personal journey and reflection, "My mother lost her battle with cancer in 1988.
One day, in 1999 my sister was reminiscing her memory while we were on tour.
Her emotions inspired the lyrics and melody for Wash The Tears. Another 11
years later the song was released worldwide," the crooner
explained "That song has changed my life forever in
more ways than one and, will always hold a special place in my heart. Today,
another 11 years later I’ve released an acoustic version of the song. The
message in the lyrics still ring true after all of these years. The world is
still in pain but together “We shall be alright”.
Re -recorded as a way to give back to fans that have supported him and his
career for over a decade, the acoustic version of "Wash Away The Tears"
was produced by Scottish-born multi-platinum recording artist/producer Johnny
Reid and is now available worldwide https://orcd.co/gmwtta
While the month of March (Women's History Month) commemorates and
celebrates the vital role of women in history, the smooth baritone joins in the
observance with the gift of music "this song dedicated to all of
the women in the world including my mother". A smooth reggae island vibe complimented by
heartfelt lyrics with "A Woman Like You".
While the sultry single is now available as pre-save https://orcd.co/gmawly ,
breathtaking visuals will be paired with the song and released with an official
video on April 9th, 2021.
“Have I told you Have I shown you
What I’m feeling When I hold you
Feels like heaven, Heaven surrounds me
Every time you Wrap your arms around
me
And there’s nothing I could say or ever do
To deserve the love.. Of a woman like you"
